The ¹Ü¼ÒÆÅ×ÊÁϾ«×¼´óÈ« Koala Conservation and Protection Fund supports the temporary housing of bushfire affected koalas at ¹Ü¼ÒÆÅ×ÊÁϾ«×¼´óÈ« (¹Ü¼ÒÆÅ×ÊÁϾ«×¼´óÈ«) and ongoing research to better understand and protect these beloved creatures.

Koalas displaced and injured by Australia's bushfire crisis are being cared for and housed temporarily at ¹Ü¼ÒÆÅ×ÊÁϾ«×¼´óÈ«. The University has been working alongside local wildlife agencies to receive the koalas, including accepting koalas from the Two Thumbs Wildlife Trust Koala Sanctuary which sadly burnt down during the fires.

Our koala guests are in good spirits despite suffering from stress, malnutrition and, in some cases burns. Your gift will be used immediately to care for the koalas, assisting our team to nurse them back to full health and, in time, to reintroduce them into the wild and track their progress. Gifts will also support ongoing research to understand the impact of bushfires and climate change on koalas and their habitat.
